Who is considered disadvantaged youth/families?
Individuals who are experiencing homelessness, considered at-risk or low income. Our hope is to create a sense of normalcy and bring joy to those in need.
What are the signs?
Individuals in need of food, a place to live, clothing, hygiene supplies and/or other basic necessities.
Living in a unstable housing situation.
Afraid to go home, kicked out of your home, or couch surfing.
Individuals that have been displaced from their families.
Individuals who’ve recently become unemployed, dropped out of school or recently released from incarceration

Nevada ranks 1st in the nation for unsheltered homeless/disadvantaged youth.
Over 7,000 students have been identified as homeless in the Clark County School District.
The poverty rate in Las Vegas is 16.2%. One out of every 6.2 residents of Las Vegas lives in poverty. 98,981 of 612,867 Las Vegas residents reported income levels below the poverty line in 2018.
12.4 percentage of households who were food insecure on average from 2015 to 2017, meaning that at some point during the year, they experienced difficulty providing enough food due to a lack of money or resources.
18.2% of children under 18 were in families who had incomes below the poverty line in 2017.
